Electrical Engineer

Overview

In this role you contribute to electrical services design within rail and built environments, delivering outline and detailed designs for multi-disciplinary projects. You will coordinate with internal disciplines and external engineers, ensuring safety and compliance throughout the design lifecycle. You report progress to senior engineers and drive improvements aligned with SYSTRA’s goals. This is an opportunity to grow professionally within a collaborative, people-centered engineering culture.

Responsibilities

• Prepare outline and detailed design for multi- or single-disciplinary projects
• Follow and check procedures throughout project delivery
• Interface with other disciplines and third parties to develop multi-disciplinary design
• Report updates to senior engineers, technical leads and project management on progress
• Apply safety procedures to protect staff and others during design lifecycle
• Contribute to company-wide goals and business improvement
• Support ongoing professional development with organizational backing
• Demonstrate behaviours aligned with SYSTRA’s behavioural framework fostering collaboration and empowerment

Key requirements

• Knowledge of electrical services design in built environment and/or transport infrastructure (railway lineside systems, lighting, LV distribution)
• Experience with industry-wide software for electrical calculation
• Knowledge of multi-disciplinary issues related to railway lineside systems and/or built environment
• Qualification: HNC or equivalent
