Assistant Site Manager

Overview

As an Assistant Site Manager in our Scotland East region, you will support the Site Manager to deliver the build programme to Miller Homes’ standards. You will oversee on-site labour and subcontractor coordination, ensuring safety, security, and smooth daily operations. You’ll provide cover in the Site Manager’s absence and help maintain site discipline and security. This role offers hands-on site leadership within a values-driven construction environment that aims to create better places for customers and communities.

Responsibilities

• Control on-site labour, direct and subcontractor coordination per plot and schedule
• Monitor site activities to ensure compliance with the Construction Phase Health & Safety Plan
• Maintain adequate site security, traffic management, and public access control
• Coordinate and monitor subcontractor activities on a day-by-day basis
• Provide cover for the Site Manager during holidays, meetings, or sickness

Key requirements

• Experience in a similar role, ideally with a housebuilder
• Ability to plan, organize and monitor subcontract activity on a day-by-day basis
• Positive, proactive attitude to progression within the business
• Hold relevant industry qualifications and accreditations
