Banking & Finance Associate

Overview

In this role, you will join a market-leading Banking and Finance team in Birmingham or Nottingham to handle a broad spectrum of financing work. You will support cross-functional deal teams on multi‑jurisdictional transactions across sectors, from corporate and asset finance to project and real estate lending. You’ll liaise with borrowers, lenders and investors throughout the lifecycle, review conditions precedent, and draft security documents. Responsibilities

• Liaise with borrowers, lenders and investors across the transaction lifecycle
• Review conditions precedent for financing deals
• Draft and negotiate security documents
• Handle a wide range of financing transactions (corporate lending, leverage finance, asset and real estate finance, project finance, invoice discounting)
• Support multi-jurisdictional financing matters and coordination with banks and financial institutions
• Collaborate with cross-functional deal teams in a leading national practice

Key requirements

• Early-career banking and finance experience
• 1–4 PQE
• Experience at a reputable law firm
• Confidence reviewing conditions precedent and drafting security documents
• Experience liaising with borrowers, lenders and investors
