HR Business Partner

Overview

As HR Business Partner for the @One Alliance Water contract, you drive people strategies to enable project delivery. You partner with Operations Directors, project teams and client HR to implement performance, engagement and retention initiatives while fostering an inclusive culture. You will steer talent reviews, address skill gaps with the Resourcing team, and ensure HR adds value to the commercial success of infrastructure projects. This role combines strategic influence with hands-on people leadership in a complex environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead HR activities for the @One Alliance Water contract and partner with Operations Directors, Project Management teams, the client HR team and Alliance partners
• Drive performance management, engagement, and retention initiatives
• Champion a diverse, inclusive culture through project and people-related activities
• Manage sector talent reviews and collaborate with operational teams
• Develop understanding of how infrastructure projects are commercially viable and add value through people-related activities
• Collaborate with the Resourcing team to identify skill shortages and implement action plans
• Manage a small HR team supporting HR activities

Key requirements

• Generalist HR experience with business partnering
• Coaching line managers through people-related matters
• Strong knowledge of employment law and its practical application in a complex business
• Excellent influencing and stakeholder management with credible relationship-building
• Resilient and proactive; comfortable engaging with senior management
• MCIPD qualified
