In this permanent role, you will lead refurbishment and fit-out projects for a growing main contractor in Milton Keynes. You will manage delivery across multiple sectors, handling projects typically valued from £200k to £3m. You’ll work within a fast-paced environment, ensuring all construction elements are integrated smoothly. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain the company’s strong reputation and secure ongoing work. This position offers a hands-on leadership role with travel and occasional lodging as needed, contributing to scalable project success.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of refurbishment and fit-out projects across multiple sectors
• Manage projects from planning to close-out with emphasis on quality and timelines
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams and subcontractors on site
• Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards
• Maintain strong client relationships and report progress to stakeholders
• Travel and lodging as required for project locations
• Contribute to business growth through effective project execution
• Handle project values typically between £200k and £3m

Key requirements

• Experience with a reputable Main Contractor
• Track record on refurbishment/fit-out projects up to £3m
• Experience across sectors: commercial offices, industrial warehouses, retail, leisure
• Ability to manage fast-paced projects
• Strong knowledge of all elements of construction
• First Aid, SMSTS, CSCS
• Able to commute to Milton Keynes daily; willing to travel and lodge away when required
