Residential Property Litigation Solicitor – Birmingham / Hybrid

Overview

In this Residential Property Litigation role, you will manage a varied caseload within a niche property team, handling leases, enforcement, forfeiture and related matters to support clients. You will work from Birmingham with hybrid flexibility, collaborating with a Pre-Litigation unit and mentoring trainees. Your work drives timely, law-compliant resolutions while advising on major works and lease structures. This is a client-facing, impact-focused position in a specialist firm community.

Responsibilities

• Manage a varied caseload across debt recovery, breach of lease, forfeiture and possession, lease extensions and variations
• Handle FTT applications, lease analysis, enforcement of judgments and appointment of manager applications
• Provide client advice on major works consultation, S20(b) notices, lease structure and notices of repairs
• Support the Pre-Litigation team with queries; contribute to staff training and mentoring trainees

Key requirements

• Minimum 3 years’ PQE
• Working knowledge of leases and enforcement of judgments
• Knowledge of Landlord & Tenant Act 1985/1987 and Commonhold & Leasehold Reform Act 2002
• Pro-active, self-motivated, organised and able to meet tight deadlines
• Excellent communication skills
• Ideally knowledge of RTM process and Companies Act 2006 and key leasehold case law
