Associate Director MEP Cost Management – Real Estate

Overview

In this role you drive the cost consultancy for MEP-focused real estate projects, leading planning, procurement and post-contract activities. You work with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality cost advice that supports project success and client outcomes. You’ll mentor teams, promote safe practices, and ensure clear project scoping and delivery across complex masterplans. Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate cost consultancy activities: feasibility estimating, cost planning, contract procurement, tender documentation, tender evaluation, value engineering, commercial management, fee generation, dispute resolution and post-contract management
• Promote a safe and secure working environment while supporting the organisation’s values and culture
• Foster team engagement, collaboration and high performance
• Drive performance standards through effective communication, coaching and performance management practices
• Contribute to a range of projects requiring technical evaluation, analysis and problem solving
• Provide technical guidance and support to team members on project and technical matters
• Clearly communicate project scope, roles and responsibilities to support successful project delivery
• Oversee and manage service delivery to achieve high-quality outcomes and client satisfaction

Key requirements

• Proven track record delivering high quality cost management/quantity surveying services within the MEP space
• Professionally qualified (RICS or similar)
• Degree or HNC level qualification
• Ability to successfully manage and prioritise more than one project at a time
• Experience in delivering MEP elements of work for clients
• Knowledge and contacts within the MEP supply chain (tier 1 and below)
• Utilising digital software for delivery of cost management services
• Commercially astute with good negotiation skills
