Overview

In this role you support UK/US personal tax for US expatriates and UHNWIs, delivering expert guidance on cross-border matters and regulatory changes. You work within a technical team to craft tax strategies, prepare computations, and manage client relationships. The position focuses on accuracy, client service, and innovative solutions for a growing private client practice. This is a chance to impact international private clients and develop in a supportive, technically rigorous environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide expert UK/US personal tax advice for US expatriates, HNWIs and UHNWIs across the UK and international jurisdictions
  • Prepare and review tax computations and filings
  • Manage client relationships and expectations with a focus on service excellence
  • Deliver cross-border tax planning and strategies addressing CGT, IHT, I,T and NI implications
  • Support compliance processes and regulatory developments
  • Collaborate with the technical team to develop innovative tax solutions
  • Contribute to knowledge sharing and peer reviews within the private client practice
  • Assist in business development and growth of the UK/US tax service line

Key requirements

  • Experience in UK and US personal tax within a professional services firm or private client practice
  • In-depth knowledge of US and UK tax legislation including CGT, IHT, Income Tax and National Insurance
  • Familiarity with US tax implications for UK-based HNWIs, including FBAR and FATCA cross-border reporting
