Solicitor – Industrial Disease – Cardiff

Overview

In this role, you join Chadwick Nott’s Cardiff Industrial Disease team to represent claimants in workplace illness cases. You will manage your own caseload with supervision, handling asbestos exposure, respiratory illness and other industrial disease matters within a supportive, collaborative PI environment. You’ll work closely with clients, medical experts and counsel, contributing to case strategy and business development. This is a hybrid, permanent opportunity offering meaningful, high-quality work and client contact in a well-established firm.

Responsibilities

• Manage a varied caseload of industrial disease matters with supervision
• Advise on liability, evidence and quantum
• Draft correspondence, witness statements and legal documents
• Liaise with clients, medical experts, counsel and third parties
• Review medical records and evidential documents
• Prepare structured cases and progress matters efficiently
• Collaborate with PI team to support case strategy
• Maintain records and ensure regulatory compliance
• Contribute to business development and profile raising activity
