Clinical Lead

Overview

In this role you will deliver specialist psychological services to children and adolescents within the SET CAMHS Eating Disorder Service, contributing to the Core Pathway and Day Service. You will support clinical oversight, assessment, treatment and outcomes, while supervising staff and developing innovative approaches. The role sits in a friendly, multidisciplinary team within a values-driven NHS Trust. You will work to implement NICE-concordant interventions and engage families and education systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide efficient, comprehensive, specialist psychological service for children/adolescents and families
• Contribute to multidisciplinary assessment and treatment planning
• Conduct highly specialist clinical work, urgent assessments, parenting support and complex cases
• Provide expert supervision and consultation on SET CAMHS cases to the team
• Contribute to audit and research activities
• Engage in treatment and outcome monitoring using normed measures (CYP-IAPT)
• Work within SET CAMHS framework and Trust policies
• Experience supervising and managing others; develop innovative strategies to support young people and families

Key requirements

• Professional registration (HCPC/UKCP/BABCP/AFT) and/or accreditation
• Experience supervising and managing others
• Experience with young people with mental health disorders; ability to adapt for neurodevelopmental issues
• Ability to collaborate with education, social care, hospitals and families
