Overview

As Corporate Tax Manager, you will lead a varied corporate and business tax portfolio within a growing Bristol accountancy practice. You’ll deliver compliant and advisory tax services, working closely with Partners to solve complex issues and drive client value. The role includes mentoring junior staff, contributing to business development, and staying current with tax changes. This is a hands-on position with client-facing responsibilities and opportunities to influence practice growth and client outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of corporate and business tax clients
• Deliver corporate tax compliance and advisory services
• Provide commercially focused advice on corporation and business tax matters
• Collaborate with Partners and Directors on complex assignments
• Build and maintain strong client relationships
• Review tax computations, returns and advisory work
• Mentor, coach and develop junior tax team members
• Identify opportunities for additional services and cross-referrals
• Support business development, networking and practice growth
• Keep up to date with changes in tax legislation and communicate developments

Key requirements

• CTA, ACA or ACCA qualified
• Strong corporate and business tax experience
• Experience in an accountancy practice
• Excellent technical and analytical skills
• Strong client relationship and communication abilities
• Experience mentoring or supervising junior team members
• Commercially aware and proactive
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
• Self-motivated with a strong work ethic
