Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with engineers, hydraulic modellers, environmental scientists and technical specialists to deliver solutions
  • Conduct technical and feasibility studies for potable, foul, surface water and attenuation needs
  • Participate in all design stages from feasibility to detailed design and prepare reports and specifications
  • Perform numerical analyses with advanced software to evaluate water systems
  • Design water infrastructure components (treatment plants, pumps, pipes) with safety in design through risk assessments
  • Gain on-site experience through site visits and project implementation

Key requirements

  • Proven experience in the water sector at a consultancy
  • Experience in engineering assessments, options appraisals, calculations and/or economic appraisal
  • Working towards chartership or incorporated status with ICE, CIWEM, etc.
  • Experience with outline/detailed design, preferably of wastewater/water treatment or flood risk/drainage schemes
