As a Java Developer in Deloitte’s Technology & Transformation, you will design, build, and sustain high-quality Java-based solutions for diverse client projects. Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Java codebases
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle from design to deployment and maintenance
• Provide technical input during system design
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver software solutions
• Write well-documented code and contribute to technical documentation
• Troubleshoot production issues and maintain live services
• Stay updated with latest Java technologies and best practices
• Articulate complex technical topics to technical and non-technical audiences
• Contribute to the engineering community

Key requirements

• Proven Java development experience including JVM languages (Kotlin, Scala)
• Experience with Spring Framework (Spring MVC, Spring Boot)
• Designing, developing, and securing RESTful APIs
• Strong OOP (SOLID), design patterns, and secure coding practices
• Containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes) experience
• Version control strategies (Git)
• Understanding of performance monitoring and optimization
• CI/CD tooling (Jenkins, Bitbucket Pipelines, GitHub Actions)
• Cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure)
