Building Performance Manager

Overview

As Building Performance Manager, you evaluate and optimise energy usage and systems performance across Smart’s portfolio. You will analyse energy and mechanical data to identify efficiency opportunities and cost savings, working with stakeholders to implement sustainability strategies. This role supports maintenance planning and data-led improvements in a customer-centric, growth-oriented environment. You will help scale energy analytics initiatives and drive measurable environmental outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyse data from systems to assess asset performance and recommend maintenance and energy-efficiency improvements
• Conduct data analyses and assessments to quantify portfolio efficiency opportunities
• Track optimization results and ensure ongoing improvements across sites
• Lead deployment of energy efficiency measures throughout the portfolio
• Report energy consumption, optimization results, and maintenance plans with liaison to Operational Maintenance and Professional Services teams
• Handle energy-related queries and perform on-site investigations with the operational team and BMS interventions
• Perform energy audits/surveys to deploy data-led analytics solutions
• Troubleshoot issues and advise operational and client stakeholders on action plans
• Provide technical and operational support to utility metering and monitoring system strategy
• Devise procedures for data capture and analysis considering technical aspects

Key requirements

• Suitably qualified degree or equivalent in Energy/Environmental Management or Building Services Engineering or related field (or equivalent by experience)
• Minimum 2 years of experience in energy management, sustainability, or related field
