Overview

In this role you build education-focused software across Autodesk platforms, from backend services to user-facing features. You’ll work in astartup-like team to ship education features, prototyping to production, and collaborating across disciplines to improve teaching and learning experiences. You will integrate ML/AI, develop CAD plugins and automation, and contribute to reliable, scalable services. This is a hands-on, impact-focused position with a clear path from idea to launch in a dynamic, cross-functional environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop backend services, APIs, integrations and infrastructure for education features
• Move from prototype to production balancing speed, quality and impact
• Integrate ML/AI solutions with cross-functional teams
• Build and maintain automation, plugins or SDKs for CAD platforms (Fusion, Revit, 3DS Max, Maya)
• Collaborate across product and engineering boundaries including frontend, data pipelines, orchestration, experimentation tooling and workflows
• Work with CI/CD systems (Jenkins, GitHub Actions) and Docker deployments; improve observability and reliability
• Write well-tested code; participate in code reviews and security/data-handling practices
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, researchers, frontend/ML/platform engineers to ship features
• Document designs, APIs, runbooks and hand-off materials; onboard engineers to codebase
• Contribute to team culture with knowledge sharing and reproducible engineering practices

Key requirements

• 3+ years of professional software engineering experience
• Strong full-stack development experience and frontend familiarity (JavaScript, React/Next.js)
• Ability to leverage AI coding tools for higher velocity
• Experience with Docker and Git
• Proven ability to integrate with CI/CD pipelines and maintain testable code
• Cross-functional collaboration skills to ship features
• Strong debugging and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent communication in a distributed team
