Affordable Housing Manager

Overview

As Affordable Housing Manager, you will lead the delivery of affordable housing elements within major London sites for an established residential developer. You will leverage your network of Housing Associations and Residential Providers to allocate units and manage end-to-end deal flow. You’ll oversee contract negotiations, pre-contract setup, financial governance, and ongoing progress reporting, ensuring smooth handover to customers at various project phases. This role blends business development, procurement, and project handover, offering a pivotal, first-point-of-contact position for affordable housing across sites.

Responsibilities

• Manage relationships with Housing Associations and Residential Providers to identify suitable affordable housing elements
• Negotiate Land & Build Contracts and oversee pre-contract setup
• Handle financial management and ongoing progress monitoring and reporting
• Oversee handover of units to customers across different project phases
• Utilise contacts and market insights to deliver affordable housing on all sites

Key requirements

• Experience with Housing Associations, Residential Providers, or similar RP/HA relationships
• Familiarity with negotiating contracts, pre-contract processes, financial management, and progress reporting
• Background in Land Management, Commercial, or Employers Agent roles within HA/RP environments is a plus
• Strong stakeholder management and ability to operate in a fast-paced development environment
