Overview
In this role you will lead and shape delivery for high-impact public sector technology programmes at Deloitte Digital. You’ll work with cross-functional teams to implement GDS-compliant citizen services, AI-enabled engagement, and CRM transformations, driving digital transformation for government clients. You’ll balance delivery quality, stakeholder management, and commercial aspects, while fostering a high-performing team. Responsibilities
- Lead and support delivery teams on major public sector programmes
- Ensure project alignment with client and Deloitte goals and foster high-performing teams
- Deliver value-driven projects with a one-team culture for central government clients
- Support market and business development, shaping proposals for public sector engagements
- Mentor and develop team members, promote governance and best practices
- Lead agile delivery of complex digital products and significant workstreams
- Manage stakeholder relationships with public sector clients and partners
- Contribute to technical strategy, roadmaps, and innovative solutions
- Provide technical guidance and oversight ensuring architectural integrity and quality
- Ensure solutions meet GDS standards and accessibility requirements
- Drive continuous improvement using performance insights to boost efficiency
- Support financial and resource management including budgeting and forecasting
- Identify and manage risks, issues, and dependencies with clear communication
Key requirements
- Senior delivery or consulting experience in a leading firm or complex public sector organisation
- Experience with identity solutions in public sector contexts
- Experience supporting business development and proposal development
- Proven track record in shaping, winning, and delivering large-scale digital transformation programmes
- Strong command of Agile (Scrum, Kanban) and modern delivery methodologies
- Technical background with cloud technologies (AWS, Azure), DevOps, and architectural principles
- Experience with commercial management, budgeting, and client discussions in consulting/public sector delivery
- Strong communication and influencing skills with senior stakeholders
- GDS, security principles (NCSC), and GDPR knowledge
- Experience managing third-party suppliers and public sector procurement processes
- Leadership potential and ability to develop team members
- Comfort with Directors/Partners to support account growth and delivery assurance
