In this role, you will lead the global Media and Marketing category to drive brand objectives and business value. Responsibilities
- Lead enterprise-wide category management for media and marketing suppliers (publishers, social platforms, agencies)
- Develop and execute global and regional category strategies aligned with brand and growth objectives
- Own the supplier lifecycle: sourcing, contracting, performance management, and continuous improvement
- Collaborate with Marketing, Finance, Legal, Risk, and Compliance to rationalize suppliers and unlock cost efficiencies
- Drive commercial negotiations (rates, scopes, incentives, renewals) and strengthen contract structures
- Establish supplier performance metrics and ensure delivery of quality, innovation, sustainability, and value
- Monitor industry trends, platforms, digital capabilities, and new supplier models to inform strategy
- Advance a scalable, data-informed category approach across global and regional markets
Key requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in any field; advanced degree preferred
- 5–10 years in category management, strategic sourcing, or procurement
- Experience managing media/marketing suppliers (media agencies, publishers, social platforms, creative agencies)
- Strong commercial acumen with proven negotiation and influencing skills
- Experience in complex, global, matrixed organizations; independent with cross-functional collaboration
- Ability to engage with senior business partners and external suppliers including Legal and Risk
- Experience with supplier performance management and governance
- Procurement certifications (e.g., CPSM, CIPS) considered an asset
- International experience and regional market dynamics understanding preferred
