Responsibilities

• Manage and broaden a high-value disputes caseload (adjudication, mediation, litigation)
• Provide contractual interpretation and risk assessments under JCT, NEC, FIDIC, ICE, PPC, GC Works and bespoke contracts
• Supervise and support junior lawyers
• Develop client relationships and contribute to business development initiatives
• Collaborate with cross-office teams to raise the profile of the practice
• Handle complex defect disputes and Building Safety Act issues
• Advise on PFI-related disputes and professional negligence claims

Key requirements

• Qualified solicitor with 8+ years’ experience in contentious construction
• Strong track record in adjudication, litigation and arbitration (domestic or international)
• Experience handling high-value defect disputes
• Understanding of the Building Safety Act and implications for the sector
• Experience acting for major developers, contractors or public bodies
• Strong knowledge of JCT, NEC and FIDIC contracts
• Proactive approach to business development and client engagement
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• Experience supervising and supporting junior lawyers
