Director of Mobile and Web Platform

Overview

In this role, you oversee Tide’s frontend direction, driving architectural health and sustainable code. You lead a team spanning Core Architecture, Engineering Productivity, and Quality Engineering to empower product teams with a fast, reliable frontend stack. You partner with Staff Engineers to tackle large-scale monorepo challenges and implement a modern release and observability approach. You will explore AI-enhanced frontend capabilities to elevate performance and personalised experiences. Responsibilities

• Architectural advocacy to drive a pragmatic frontend strategy and resolve bottlenecks in large-scale monorepo workflows
• Technical stewardship to align stack choices with Tide’s business goals and optimize engineering leverage
• Product virtualisation and observability to provide global visibility into product experiences across configurations
• Delivery excellence through a modern Release Engineering model and automated, high-frequency deployments
• Emerging technology and AI exploration to enhance frontend performance and automate interactions
