Overview
In this role you lead end-to-end pitch and proposal activity for the London and Paris Debt Capital Markets teams, coordinating cross-border efforts within the EMEA region. You will create client-focused proposals, panel submissions and capability statements to strengthen market position, partnering with senior BD and legal colleagues to shape strategy. You’ll drive continuous improvement, manage timelines and ensure high-quality submissions that win business. Responsibilities
- Lead preparation and delivery of pitches, proposals and client presentations for London/Paris DCM teams, ensuring strategic focus and on-time delivery
- Coordinate smaller pitches and capability statements with BD Specialists and Coordinators
- Support global panel proposals led by Central Proposals; lead smaller EMEA panel RFPs
- Manage and report on RFP activity (pitch volumes, win/loss rates, issues) for Senior Manager and partners
- Coordinate competitor intelligence to inform RFP responses
- Own the proposal process from assessment to submission and feedback, embedding best practices
- Ensure accurate recording of opportunities in InterAction with outcomes and reasons for success/misses
- Join kickoff and progress meetings; maintain timelines, agendas, and action lists
- Gather high-level client feedback and present insights at EMEA partner meetings
- Collaborate with global BD teams to keep proposal content current and aligned with approved style
- Develop and maintain DCM proposal infrastructure (collateral, pitchbooks, boilerplate content, lawyer bios)
- Share knowledge and best practice across global network to deliver a consistent client-focused proposals experience
- Adapt responsibilities as the DCM group evolves; focus current priorities for London/Paris teams
Key requirements
- Degree-educated
- Minimum 5 years of BD/marketing experience in legal/professional services
- Experience working with relationship partners, fee earners and senior management on global proposals
- Experience in a law firm environment; Capital Markets exposure an advantage
- Proven track record in manager-level roles handling complex, multi-jurisdiction pitches and RFPs
- Strong influencing, negotiating and coaching skills at partner level
- Excellent written and verbal communication with high attention to detail
- Proven project management and ability to deliver pitches under tight deadlines
