Business Analyst

Overview

In this role you will partner with stakeholders to understand business needs, elicit and analyse requirements, and support governance and delivery to ensure value-driven change. You will model processes, collaborate across multi-vendor teams, and help bridge business and IT to deliver sustainable improvements. You’ll apply your problem-solving skills to design better workflows and systems, contributing to QBE’s mission to be a consistent and innovative risk partner. This is a London-based, permanent, hybrid opportunity within an International and Multinational team.

Responsibilities

• Elicit, analyse, prioritise and document business, functional and non-functional requirements
• Create and maintain epics, user stories, acceptance criteria and requirements traceability
• Facilitate workshops, stakeholder interviews and analysis sessions
• Produce current and future-state process models using BPMN standards (Signavio preferred)
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, project managers, architects, developers and testers to support solution delivery
• Support backlog refinement, testing, defect resolution and implementation activities
• Create and maintain analysis artefacts and project documentation in Confluence
• Manage requirements, user stories, defects and delivery activities in Jira
• Ensure deliverables align with QBE governance and quality standards
• Work independently while integrating into multi-vendor and cross-functional teams

Key requirements

• Insurance business analysis experience supporting technology and business change initiatives
• Requirements elicitation, process analysis and workshop facilitation
• User story and acceptance criteria development
• BPMN process modelling experience
• Experience of TOM design
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
• Practical experience with Jira and Confluence
• Ability to challenge constructively and drive evidence-based decision making
• Experience working across multiple priorities and delivery workstreams
