Senior Full Stack Engineer – Start-up

Overview

As one of the UK’s first engineers, you will own the architecture and drive end-to-end product delivery in a fast-growing sports tech start-up. You’ll build consumer-facing features from ground up, shaping data-driven products for real-time sports and betting. This London-based, onsite role offers ownership, collaboration with a small team, and the chance to scale the UK operation as the company expands into US sports. You’ll leverage modern frontend and backend tech to ship impactful, data-led experiences.

Responsibilities

• Own features end-to-end from design through release and data reporting
• Architect and implement web and API services, and ship consumer-facing products
• Support the full software lifecycle: design, development, testing, deployment, production
• Collaborate with cross-functional teammates to align on product and technical direction
• Evaluate and adopt AI tooling to accelerate development and inform team practices
• Contribute to real-time systems and data workflows related to sports data and betting

Key requirements

• Strong front-end and back-end skills with TypeScript, React, and APIs
• Knowledge of Rust for backend capabilities
• Experience shipping consumer-facing products, ideally with direct-to-consumer subscriptions
• Ability to own features end-to-end across design, release, and data reporting
• Familiarity with AI tooling to speed development and guide team choices
• Start-up experience or background in scaling companies
• Experience building real-time systems, in-play chat, live sports data or betting tech
