Project Director – Project Management

Overview

In this role you will lead strategic delivery for major programmes within the UK Infrastructure business and strengthen Midlands relationships while supporting national initiatives. You will work with cross‑sector clients at senior levels, driving growth through business development and efficient programme delivery. The position requires mobility across the UK and a commercially-minded mindset to turn complex challenges into successful outcomes. You will shape project performance and governance in collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of major programmes and projects
• Grow and manage client relationships across Midlands and nationally
• Engage with clients at strategic levels and support business development
• Contribute to resourcing, growth strategies and delivery on internal and client boards
• Adhere to contract frameworks (e.g., NEC3/4) and governance requirements

Key requirements

• Leader of diverse teams across rail, aviation, utilities, power, highways, or local authorities
• Background in Project Management or engineering with capital programme delivery
• Experience leading major programmes and projects
• Experience in bid/procurement and client engagement
• Ability to grow client relationships across all organizational levels
• Experience on client and internal boards; strategy setting and resourcing for growth
• Desirable: procurement, asset management, or advisory experience
