Consulting Director: Business Transformation

Overview

In this Director role, you will guide a portfolio of strategy and transformation projects for a boutique consultancy. You will work closely with the leadership team to drive growth, client delivery, and market expansion across sectors such as life sciences, manufacturing, and consumer goods. You will shape propositions, lead multiple engagements, and contribute to revenue development while managing consulting staff and key stakeholders. The role combines strategy, operating model design, and change delivery, with a focus on sourcing and IT/vendor optimization to unlock client value. This is a high-impact, client-facing position in a flexible London-based office environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead a portfolio of client assignments across strategy development and transformation delivery
• Develop and grow existing clients plus win new business
• Develop consulting propositions, thought leadership, and staff capability
• Support overall business leadership and revenue growth
• Oversee project delivery and key stakeholder management across engagements

Key requirements

• Senior Manager or Director level experience at an established consulting firm
• Broad experience with strategy, business case development, Target Operating Model, growth and transformation
• Expertise in procurement/sourcing; shared services/GBS/BPO; organisational design/TO model; B2B growth/services; digital & IT strategy/CIO advisory
• Sector experience in life sciences, manufacturing, or consumer goods
• Proven sales and client account growth experience; delivery and practice development
• UK-based with at least 4 years as a management consultant; willingness for Sponsorship potential
