Production Line Leader

Overview

In this role you will lead a midnight-shift production line, coordinating daily start-ups, break schedules, and line activities to meet production goals. You will supervise line staff, ensure safety and adherence to policies, and drive continuous improvement in quality, cost, productivity, and safety. You’ll partner with Lab and Team Leaders to maintain process control and keep lines clean and organized. The position offers hands-on leadership on a 12-month renewable contract with a focus on meeting schedules and delivering results.

Responsibilities

• Line start-up and shut-down coordination
• Verify daily time cards
• Troubleshoot processes and solve problems
• Meet production schedules and supervise line employees
• Enforce company policies and safety procedures
• Coach and evaluate line team members
• Communicate maintenance issues to line/equipment
• Collaborate with Lab personnel and Team Leaders for process control
• Maintain plant cleanliness and organization
• Provide input on hiring/separation and maintain staffing within budget
• Complete production and quality reports (trace sheets, productivity index, first-off reports, MITS reject tags) and post productivity updates
• Conduct daily line team meetings (5-minute sessions)
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in quality, cost, productivity, and safety
• Perform other assigned tasks
