Senior Security Engineer

Overview

You will shape and evolve EFG’s security posture across the FACEIT Digital Platform and broader ecosystem. As a technical authority, you implement scalable security controls, automate detections, and lead incident response. You’ll work with cross-functional teams to embed security by design and drive high-impact outcomes. This role offers the chance to influence security strategy at scale in a globally distributed, multi-cloud environment.

Responsibilities

• Architect and deploy advanced security monitoring and automated detection across diverse log sources
• Lead security-as-code in CI/CD; implement SAST, DAST, and SCA tooling with gating criteria
• Own end-to-end vulnerability management for infrastructure and applications; coordinate with external testers
• Design, implement and optimize core security infrastructure (EDR, Zero Trust, IAM, DLP) with SOAR automation
• Lead incident response for high-priority security events and drive long-term remediation roadmaps
• Lead internal audits and ensure alignment with ISO 27001 and regulatory requirements
• Advise on major initiatives to ensure security by design for new technologies and vendors
• Standardize SOPs and runbooks; mentor junior engineers to elevate security operations

Key requirements

• Extensive information security engineering experience with scalable security architectures
• Ability to translate security policy into enforceable technical standards and drive cross-department rollout
• Expert cloud security knowledge (AWS/GCP) and secure multi-tenant design; perform configuration audits
• Cloud-native and container security expertise (Kubernetes); IaC with Terraform/CloudFormation; automated guardrails
• Advanced scripting/programming for security tooling and automation
• Experience in SIEM, SOAR, and EDR; tuned alerting with high fidelity
• DevSecOps leadership; security-by-design in CI/CD lifecycles
• Governance and compliance mastery (ISO 27001, SOC2, NIST) and audit readiness
• Strong incident leadership and DFIR capabilities
