Data Security & Delivery Strategist/Lead – Senior Manager – Associate Director

Overview

In this role you will shape and deliver data security solutions for clients, aligning protection strategies with business outcomes. You’ll build and manage client relationships, define requirements, and guide architecture across cloud and on-premises environments. Working within Deloitte’s Technology and Transformation practice, you’ll influence operating models, drive market-active deliverables, and help clients navigate complex cyber risk in a fast-paced setting. Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain client relationships with CIOs, CISOs, and other senior stakeholders
• Define data security requirements and technical specifications (discovery, access governance, classification, encryption, DLP, masking, monitoring, compliance)
• Conduct baseline and maturity assessments to surface gaps and define target states for data security
• Create client materials (proposals, eminence content, executive presentations) and support go-to-market efforts
• Collaborate with alliance partners to generate and convert pipeline
• Implement data security operating models (people, processes, technology) and deliver projects using standard PM approaches
• Improve market strategy by tracking cyber security and data protection trends
• Design and deliver data security architecture across cloud and hybrid environments
• Support clients in communicating with diverse stakeholders from board-level to developers

Key requirements

• Extensive data security experience across data discovery, classification, DLP, governance, and posture management
• Ability to translate complex security concepts into client-facing materials
• Experience with waterfall and agile methodologies within client frameworks
• Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills (CISO to developer)
• Commercial acumen for proposals, cost estimates, and client presentations
• Knowledge of GDPR, CCPA, and data privacy regimes and governance frameworks
• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, Oracle, Google Cloud) and related security tooling
• Experience with DLP tools and encryption technologies (e.g., AWS KMS, Azure Key Vault, HashiCorp Vault, KeyFactor, Microsoft/ForcePoint/Broadcom DLP)
