Project Quantity Surveyor

Overview

As a Quantity Surveyor at Jacobs you will help shape major UK infrastructure projects. You’ll work within a multidisciplinary team on highways schemes, applying cost intelligence to improve project performance. The role combines pre- and post-contract estimating with hands-on responsibility on nationally significant projects. You will grow quickly through exposure to consultancy environments and broader cost management tasks. This is a hands-on role in a supportive, values-driven environment focused on meaningful infrastructure delivery.

Responsibilities

• Support delivery of major highways schemes across the Midlands
• Apply cost intelligence principles to drive project performance
• Work across pre-contract and post-contract phases
• Produce cost estimates, forecasts, and decision-driving reports
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across clients, consultants and contractors

Key requirements

• Degree in Quantity Surveying or qualified by experience
• Consultant level experience in Quantity Surveying with highways exposure
• Experience in both pre-contract and post-contract estimating
• Experience in consultancy environments (or mix of consultancy + contractor)
• Understanding of cost intelligence / data-driven cost management
