Senior Associate in a market-leading Financial Regulation & Disputes team in Bristol. You will manage and supervise a varied caseload for major banks and financial institutions, handling high-value banking litigation, regulatory disputes, and advisory matters. You’ll mentor junior lawyers, contribute to business development and client relationships, and help drive know-how and legal updates. The role offers exposure to complex, reputationally sensitive disputes across the UK client base, with opportunities to influence strategy and growth. Responsibilities

  • Manage and supervise a varied caseload of financial services disputes, including high-value banking litigation and regulatory matters
  • Provide strategic, commercial advice to clients alongside senior colleagues
  • Supervise junior team members and contribute to their development
  • Support business development and client relationship growth
  • Assist with legal updates and know-how development
  • Collaborate on matters involving major UK and international clients

Key requirements

  • 4-6 years PQE (applications outside range considered with relevant expertise)
  • Strong experience running own litigation caseload
  • Thorough understanding of CPR and litigation process
  • Background in financial litigation or transferable experience from insurance, property, or commercial litigation
  • Experience supervising junior team members (desirable)
  • Excellent analytical, communication and organisational skills
  • Commercial awareness and enthusiasm for business development
  • Ability to build strong client relationships and understand client needs
