Senior Business data Analyst – Insurance domain

Overview

In this role you will join a high-performing agile squad to shape the requirements for our new Snowflake data platform. You will act as a data SME for business users and IT, translating needs into actionable stories for the dev team. You’ll design solutions leveraging your technical and business analysis expertise to support data-driven outcomes. This position offers the chance to influence the Enterprise Data Platform and data products in a collaborative, cross-functional environment.

Responsibilities

• Act as data subject matter expert for the new data platform
• Gather and document business data requirements from stakeholders
• Translate requirements into user stories and development tasks
• Design innovative technical solutions using domain knowledge
• Collaborate with data engineering and product management in an agile setting

Key requirements

• Solid Business Analyst experience: requirements gathering, analysis, documentation, stakeholder management
• Strong SQL proficiency (intermediate to advanced)
• Ability to work independently with minimal oversight
• Techno-Functional BA: combines SQL/data analysis with business analysis
• London Market Insurance domain experience
• Knowledge of business analysis concepts/methods in IT
• Experience with JIRA or similar agile tools
