Clinical Team Manager

Overview

In this permanent role you lead the Enhanced/Urgent care element of OpCourage North, ensuring safe, effective, high-quality community care for Veterans. You will shape collaborative, multi-disciplinary practice and support staff wellbeing while driving improvements in outcomes. As a senior leader, you work with partner providers to sustain regional, accessible mental health services for veterans. This is an opportunity to influence service culture, practice standards, and tangible outcomes for veterans in distress.

Responsibilities

• Lead a multi-professional team delivering intensive community care across the North of England
• Develop strong relations with local CMHTs/crisis teams to ensure smooth Veteran care transitions
• Partner with Multi Organisational Leadership Team and LYPFT Clinical Operations Manager to develop regional mental health care for Veterans
• Lead investigations of clinical incidents per Trust policy, handle complaints and service reviews/inspections
• Oversee staff, project and budget management within Trust guidelines
• Act as a champion for the service with collaborative, supportive leadership and team-working ethos
• Manage the operational functioning of the team and participate in on-call duties for LYPFT
• Provide robust line management and caseload management to clinicians across the team
• Contribute to performance management, local and national targets, and monthly/quarterly reporting to the OpCourage North Lead provider

Key requirements

• Professional registration
• Extensive experience in a mental health service (ideally community-based)
• Good understanding and passion for veteran population/culture and high-quality care
• Partnership working, flexible leadership approaches, confident clinical/operational decision making
