Pensions Implementation Consultant (Configuration)

Overview

As an Implementation Consultant in the Configuration team, you will drive pension system transitions for clients, delivering configurations, automation, and training within a controlled environment. You will lead client implementations, mentor junior analysts, and ensure high-quality deliverables across data, testing, and documentation. This role supports Capita’s pension solutions by enabling effective, scalable implementations for diverse client needs. You will work with cross-functional stakeholders to solve complex pension administration challenges and contribute to platform development.

Responsibilities

• Capture and translate client requirements into system configurations
• Manage configuration activities and ensure quality
• Deliver calculation automation
• Lead client implementation projects
• Facilitate training and produce documentation
• Troubleshoot client queries and issues
• Mentor Implementation Analysts
• Perform system configuration and testing quality checks
• Support technology platform development through analysis and design for enhancements
• Conduct data analysis and validation
• Oversee project management activities including risk and issue mitigation

Key requirements

• UK pension background with understanding of DB, DC, CARE, and Annuities and how they are administered
• Ability to explain pension member records and relationships between members, Trustees, schemes, actuaries, funds and investments
• Knowledge of different pension schemes and member statuses and related calculations
• Familiarity with regulatory bodies and their roles in the sector
• Demonstrated capability in pension/employee benefit technology platforms
• Strong MS Excel skills for building automated calculators and using advanced features
• Good MS Access experience
• Ability to translate requirements into specifications
• Capability to lead on projects and mentor teams
