Overview

As a Solutions Architect for Retail and Consumer Goods in the UK & Ireland, you will bridge business goals with cloud-enabled solutions on AWS. You’ll lead architecture discussions, design innovative reference architectures, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver tangible business value. You’ll work with senior stakeholders and occasionally the C-suite, shaping customer outcomes through agentic AI, ML, serverless, and data solutions. This role combines hands‑on design with strategic influence to accelerate cloud adoption and customer success.

Responsibilities

• Act as a pivotal member of a Customer Account Team alongside Account Managers and Technical Account Managers to accelerate customer programmes
• Build and maintain trusted technical relationships with senior stakeholders and act in the customer’s best interest
• Identify new technical opportunities, including Agentic Commerce use cases, to impact business objectives
• Design customer solutions and assess long-term trade-offs related to extensibility, flexibility, scalability, and maintainability
• Provide customer feedback to inform AWS feature roadmaps and contribute to best practices and reusable artifacts
• Promote AWS technology through workshops, meetups, content, and public speaking; develop these skills with support
• Support the growth of the Solutions Architecture team, including mentoring and knowledge sharing
• Develop depth in technical domains most relevant to customers and personal interests

Key requirements

• Experience in technology domains such as software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, or data & analytics
• Experience in design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures
• Experience in IT development or implementation/consulting in software or Internet industries
• Knowledge of AWS services (preferred if gained from a dev/ops perspective)
