Project Management Associate Director / Associate – PMCM CI&U

Overview

In this role you will lead and grow a project management practice within WSP’s PMCM team, delivering major infrastructure programs across highways, rail, civils, energy, and utilities. You’ll manage multidisciplinary teams, nurture client relationships, and drive growth with a strong focus on net zero and sustainability. You will collaborate with design, risk, cost, and carbon teams to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery against demanding KPIs. Responsibilities

• Lead and develop high-performing project management teams across multiple sectors
• Drive business growth and expand the project management offering
• Build and maintain strong client relationships and manage stakeholders
• Focus on net zero, sustainability, and integrated management of scope, cost, schedule, and risk
• Collaborate with cross-functional colleagues across PMO, design, risk, cost, planning, and information management
• Balance leadership with delivery to meet high standards and KPIs

Key requirements

• Recognised qualifications (PMP, APM, PRINCE2, or equivalent)
• Substantial experience managing large-scale, multidisciplinary infrastructure programmes
• Extensive stakeholder engagement and client management experience
• Strong commercial acumen including cost management and budget forecasting
• Experience with NEC3/4 ECC contract management (accreditation desirable) and change management
• Understanding of resource management and forecasting; ability to lead and develop teams
• Ability to challenge status quo and deliver innovative, high-quality projects
• Degree in a relevant technical discipline or equivalent experience
• Chartered or path to chartership and membership of professional institutions desirable
