Electrical Engineer

Overview

In this role you will design, develop and validate electrical systems for Aggreko’s manufactured product range, driving reliability and efficiency for global customers. You’ll work within cross-functional teams to specify, diagram and test electrical solutions, while leading CAD development and BOM management. The role focuses on safe, scalable electrical design that supports manufacturing and new applications across markets. You’ll contribute to continuous improvement and ensure solutions meet time, cost and quality targets, with a clear impact on energy solutions for events, mining and remote operations.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, integrate and support validation and commissioning of electrical systems, including specifications, schematics and test procedures
• Develop and maintain electrical CAD platforms (EPLAN) and ensure high-quality deliverables aligned to time, cost and quality targets
• Create and manage Bills of Materials and part specifications to support efficient manufacturing and assembly
• Provide electrical SME support across manufacturing, operations, RCA investigations and supplier engagement
• Drive continuous improvement across product design, ensuring safety, reliability, efficiency and adaptability to new applications and markets

Key requirements

• Experienced electrical engineering professional with strong systems and equipment design expertise
• Proficient in electrical CAD tools (EPLAN preferred) and confident with engineering and PLM/MRP systems
• Knowledgeable in electrical controls, panel design, generators, motor control centres and drives
• Able to interpret requirements and produce detailed schematics, wiring diagrams and specifications up to 13.8kV
