Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a team of UK-US tax professionals, including performance reviews and career growth
  • Supervise preparation, review, and submission of complex personal tax returns (Self Assessment, CGT, IHT, Property Tax)
  • Ensure compliance with HMRC regulations and evolving tax laws across client filings
  • Provide proactive tax planning advice on personal finances and tax-efficient structuring
  • Identify and mitigate tax risks with recommended best practices
  • Collaborate with senior partners and cross-functional teams to drive business development
  • Establish robust quality assurance, internal controls, and documentation standards
  • Stay updated on legislative changes and industry trends
  • Develop training resources to strengthen team capabilities

Key requirements

  • ATT / CTA or equivalent experience/qualification
  • Progressive experience in personal tax, preferably in a professional services or tax advisory setting
  • Demonstrated team leadership and talent development
  • In-depth knowledge of UK and US personal tax (Income Tax, CGT, IHT, Property Tax)
