Civil Engineer or Senior Civil Engineer

Overview

In this role you will design and deliver residential engineering schemes, including SAB approvals and technical packages (Section 278, 38, 104, 185). You will manage schemes end-to-end, with mentoring provided to junior engineers to reach self-sufficiency. The position requires strong CAD proficiency and drainage design experience, contributing to residential developments within highways and infrastructure projects. You will work within a collaborative team to meet project milestones and standards.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver residential engineering schemes including SAB approvals and technical packages (Section 278, 38, 104, 185)
• Manage and design your own projects with potential to train junior engineers
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure compliance and quality across schemes
• Contribute to highways, transport & infrastructure projects within residential development context

Key requirements

• AutoCAD (minimum requirement)
• Experience in the industry
• Proficient with 3D design software (PDS, Civil 3D or Site 3D)
• Experience with drainage design software (Microdrainage or Flow)
• SAB approvals experience is beneficial but not essential
• Degree level qualification (HNC acceptable with experience)
• Preference for BSc over BEng
• Experience in Residential Developments preferred (or general infrastructure background)
• Full UK driving license
