Engineering Geologist

Overview

In this role you will join a leading UK ground engineering consultancy to deliver engineering geology and geotechnical solutions on major infrastructure projects. You will work within a multidisciplinary team, performing field investigations, assessments, and design to support practical, science-led outcomes. The position offers hands-on project delivery across the UK and internationally, with mentorship toward Chartered status. You will partner with clients and colleagues to shape safe, high-quality ground engineering solutions.

Responsibilities

• Undertake field investigations and site inspections
• Carry out technical assessments and interpret geological data
• Prepare interpretative reports and support engineering design
• Provide construction support and site-based delivery
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and engage clients
• Contribute to safe, high-quality project delivery across varied environments
• Support mentoring and progression toward Chartered status

Key requirements

• 2:1 or First-class degree in Geology, Engineering Geology, Mining Engineering or Civil Engineering
• MSc in Engineering Geology, Mining Engineering or Civil Engineering (desirable)
