Associate Civil Engineer – Infrastructure

Overview

In this role you will lead a Civil Engineering team within Stantec’s South-East Civil Infrastructure group, delivering high‑quality infrastructure solutions. You’ll work cross‑functionally to design and deliver highway and drainage projects that support regional growth. You’ll mentor junior engineers and coordinate with clients, regulators, and authorities to ensure timely, on‑budget delivery. Responsibilities

• Lead and manage project delivery and technical approval
• Review outputs from team to ensure quality and compliance
• Mentor and supervise junior engineers and technicians
• Collaborate with building, environmental and transport colleagues to provide holistic solutions
• Deliver projects on time and within budget while engaging with clients
• Influence infrastructure schemes with regulators and local authorities
• Support regional delivery and contribute to business growth

Key requirements

• MEng/BEng qualified
• Strong communication with internal and external stakeholders (utilities, drainage authorities, highway authorities)
• Experience in highway and drainage infrastructure design across lifecycle (concept to delivery)
• Proven track record delivering multidisciplinary projects with clients
• Experience mentoring and managing junior team workload
• Civils 3D and InfoDrainage experience; utility coordination is advantageous
• Passion for quality design and regulatory processes with local authorities
