Senior Site Manager (New Build Residential) | Permanent | Surrey / Sussex

Overview

In this Senior Site Manager role you will lead a traditional-build residential development near North Chailey, East Sussex, delivering 4 apartments and 9 townhouses from inception to completion. You’ll work within a quality-focused, design-led developer and oversee groundworks as they commence, driving on-site programmes and ensuring high build standards. You will manage safety, coordination, and team motivation to deliver a durable, practical, high-quality finish. This is an opportunity to shape a flagship project with a reputable housebuilder and contribute to sustainable, recycled-land development.

Responsibilities

• Lead项目 on-site as No.1 for a residential development from inception to completion
• Oversee traditional build methods for apartments and houses
• Prepare short-term programmes and update schedules
• Coordinate site activities with subcontractors and internal teams
• Ensure high-quality workmanship and attention to detail
• Maintain Health & Safety standards and compliance
• Motivate and manage on-site personnel
• Demonstrate IT literacy for project controls and reporting

Key requirements

• Proven track record as No.1 on a reputable residential developer
• Experience delivering traditional build projects (apartments and houses)
• Ability to prepare short-term programmes
• Strong organisational and forward-planning skills
• Detail-oriented with a focus on quality
• Strong Health & Safety focus
• Ability to motivate others
• IT literate
• SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid certifications
