Overview

Senior Cost Manager in AECOM’s Buildings & Places Infrastructure team, focused on delivering cost management across large-scale infrastructure programs. You will work with high-profile clients in the Southwest, spanning water, environment, highways, rail, and power sectors, guiding projects from inception to completion. You’ll drive cost planning, procurement, value engineering and post-contract reporting, collaborating with cross-functional teams. Responsibilities

• Deliver end-to-end cost management from inception to completion for infrastructure projects
• Produce feasibility estimates and cost plans with minimal supervision
• Manage contract procurement, Tender documentation, and value engineering
• Lead commercial activities including risk management, dispute resolution, and final accounts
• Maintain client relationships and uphold the firm’s profile as a premium service provider
• Mentor junior staff and support the internal team to drive technical excellence
• Contribute to performance management processes and engineering practice networks
• Support multi-organisation, collaborative project delivery teams
• Coordinate with clients and Directors to ensure cost reporting accuracy

Key requirements

• Experience and strong track record in Cost Management/Quantity Surveying on large-scale infrastructure projects
• Strong working knowledge of NEC4 contracts (PSC and ECC)
• Experience in integrated, multi-organisation, collaborative teams
• Client-side experience or colocations/secondment beneficial
• Ability to influence key client stakeholders and grow workload
• Degree in Quantity Surveying (or equivalent)
• Accredited MRICS or working towards MRICS
