Payroll Specialist

Overview

As a Payroll Specialist in a growing global media business, you will own the UK payroll end-to-end while supporting EMEA payroll operations. You’ll work autonomously in a standalone role, driving accuracy, compliance, and process improvements across regions. The position offers exposure to international payroll projects and a hybrid London-based work model. You’ll partner with external providers and internal stakeholders to enable scalable payroll delivery and transformation.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end UK payroll processing
• Support and coordinate payroll activities across EMEA countries
• Lead and contribute to payroll-related projects
• Assist with implementation and setup of new payrolls across the region
• Ensure payroll compliance and accuracy
• Collaborate with external payroll providers and internal stakeholders
• Support system improvements and process optimisation initiatives

Key requirements

• Extensive end-to-end UK payroll experience
• Proven experience supporting payroll operations across EMEA
• Strong payroll systems knowledge and ability to adapt to new technologies
• Excellent Excel skills and high attention to detail
• Strong understanding of payroll compliance and legislation
• Ability to work independently in a sole payroll position
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Project experience, particularly around payroll implementations or transitions (advantageous)
