Senior Compliance Officer

Overview

In this role you will partner with Marsh UK Corporate and Commercial to provide proactive regulatory oversight and guidance. You will act as a trusted advisor on compliance matters, framing policies and governance across the business. You will lead regulatory updates, assess impacts of developments, and advise on new business models and products. The role combines advisory work with practical policy implementation in a hybrid London setup. You will develop strong relationships with business leaders and contribute to a collaborative compliance agenda that supports sustainable growth.

Responsibilities

• Act as a trusted advisor for regulatory and governance queries and provide guidance to the business
• Attend governance and business meetings and report on regulatory developments, risks, and actions
• Collaborate with the business to develop effective policies and procedures ensuring regulatory compliance
• Provide compliance advice and challenge on issues impacting business units, including new models and processes
• Maintain open communication between Compliance and the business about initiatives and projects
• Monitor regulatory developments and advise on impacts and implementation challenges
• Collaborate across the Advisory team and support colleagues with knowledge sharing
• Manage and develop 1 FTE

Key requirements

• Experience in Compliance within an Insurer or Broker
• Broad and deep knowledge of the FCA Handbook – Principles, Rules and Guidelines
• Strong communication skills (oral and written)
• Strong organisational and time management skills
• Commercial awareness and proportionate regulatory application in insurance
