Overview

In this role you own the UK & Ireland commercial agenda for a high-voltage transformer manufacturer, driving revenue, margins, and order intake. You will shape the sales strategy, lead large-scale bids, and develop strategic accounts across utilities, data centers, and EPCs. You’ll align cross-functional teams to deliver compelling commercial and technical proposals. This is a stake-driven leadership role at the heart of the energy transition, offering a clear impact on grid stability and renewable projects.

Responsibilities

  • Own and develop strategic accounts across TSOs, DNOs, BESS developers, Data Centres, and EPCs
  • Build executive-level relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers
  • Define and lead the overall sales strategy aligned with growth objectives
  • Take full accountability for revenue growth, order intake, and margin performance
  • Drive large-scale, complex deal origination and closing across target sectors
  • Oversee and optimise the sales pipeline with strong conversion rates
  • Lead bid/no-bid decisions and define commercial strategies for key tenders
  • Provide strategic direction on commercial and technical proposals
  • Drive market analysis, competitor intelligence, and strategic positioning
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the sales team (if applicable)
  • Collaborate with senior leadership, engineering, and project teams to align strategy
  • Own sales forecasting, reporting, and leadership-level performance tracking
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, governance, and risk frameworks
