QA Engineer

Overview

In this role you will establish and implement comprehensive testing strategies to guarantee high-quality InsurTech solutions. You’ll work within a cross-functional Scrum team to ensure reliability, maintainability, usability and performance of our cloud-based products. You will build automated test frameworks, contribute to design decisions for testability, and drive continuous improvement in testing practices. This is a hands-on, impact-focused position in a fast-paced Agile environment with a strong emphasis on automation and quality at scale.

Responsibilities

• Define test strategies to support major new features or applications
• Design, implement and document test environments and frameworks
• Collaborate with Product Owner to define User Stories and acceptance criteria
• Define technical test plans with extensive automation across the test pyramid
• Develop unit, integration, system, and end-to-end tests automatically
• Create performance, load, stress and soak test solutions
• Execute functional and non-functional tests, both manual and automated
• Review and debug product and test code to identify defects or bottlenecks
• Support Product Owner to close stories with verified acceptance criteria
• Analyze test data and produce reports for milestones
• Participate in Agile/scrum activities and continuously improve team velocity
• Contribute to software design discussions to ensure testability and best practices
• Investigate new test tools and methodologies and integrate them with CI processes, liaising with other teams

Key requirements

• Proven experience in software quality assurance in SDET roles
• Strong understanding of testing concepts, levels, methods and estimation
• Experience building test frameworks from scratch across the testing pyramid
• Extensive test automation experience for web-based products
• Automation development experience in .NET using C#
• Experience testing and building automation for distributed systems
• Experience building performance benchmarking solutions for .NET
• Effective communication and teamwork to reproduce issues and verify fixes
• Curiosity with strong analysis, problem-solving and attention to detail
• Ability to work in a fast-paced Agile environment
• Extensive experience with continuous integration and delivery tooling
• Awareness of advances in testing tooling and practices
