Overview
In this role you will support the Energy Liability pricing team and London underwriters, contributing to technical pricing and portfolio management. You’ll work with actuarial and underwriting leadership to refine loss ratio insights and pricing consistency, while improving efficiency and training internal clients. You’ll engage with cross-functional partners to drive data-driven pricing decisions and help shape the portfolio strategy. This is a hands-on role at the intersection of actuarial analytics and underwriting, with exposure to leadership and strategic planning.

Responsibilities
- Support and improve the Pricing view of the Energy Liability portfolio
- Challenge actuarial and underwriting leadership on Reserving and Capital modelling
- Drive pricing consistency and portfolio analysis across Energy Liability
- Ensure pricing processes’ efficiency and adherence to guidelines
- Train underwriters in pricing matters and support pricing accounts including portfolio deals
- Provide storytelling with results and metrics to Finance Partners and Reserving
- Gather local underwriting data and analytics needs; leverage AXA XL capabilities (Risk Consulting, IDA, Enterprise Business Data Solutions)
- Collaborate with the wider casualty team and develop junior staff
Key requirements
- Significant experience in non-life insurance pricing
- Relevant work experience in a statistical or analytical role
- Actuarial accreditation: qualified or progressing towards
- Compelling technical skills in R, Excel, SQL, Python, VBA
