Overview

As a Senior Consultant you deliver company secretarial services to a varied client portfolio within MUFG Corporate Governance. You act as a key point of contact for technical queries and contribute to commercial success. The role offers potential client secondments and hybrid work from London or Leeds, with opportunities to develop across MUFG Pension & Market Services. You join a collaborative, knowledgeable team that values learning and career growth while applying governance expertise to high-profile clients.

Responsibilities

  • Provide broad company secretarial services for individuals and large group structures
  • Deliver timely, expert advice and support to clients including complex/listed companies
  • Develop and maintain key client relationships and contribute to account development
  • Lead or contribute to internal/external technical initiatives (training, webinars, articles)
  • Share knowledge with team members and support junior colleagues
  • Draft, review and prepare relevant documentation accurately and on time
  • Collaborate with MUFG Corporate Markets and external intermediaries to maintain client contact
  • Support operational improvements and client-related initiatives

Key requirements

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication; strong client-facing and stakeholder relationship skills
  • Demonstrable company secretarial experience or extensive knowledge of UK law/regulation and best practice
  • Excellent minute-taking and drafting of comprehensive minutes
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with conflicting deadlines
  • Commercial awareness and experience in professional services environment
  • Working knowledge of Diligent Entities (Blueprint) and familiarity with CRM/timesheet systems
  • Ability to integrate into a dynamic, collaborative team and support colleagues
  • Degree in Law/ Governance/ Business/ Finance (nice to have)
  • Strong communication and relationship management
