Weekend Carer – On Call

Overview

In this Weekend Carer role you support clients at home on a rotational weekend schedule, stepping in to cover absences and holidays. You work closely with a care team to follow personalised plans, ensuring dignity, safety and emotional support for older adults. The position offers direct impact through one-to-one home care, with flexible weekend hours and a collaborative team environment. You will help maintain quality care and continuity for clients across designated postcodes, contributing to the company’s mission of compassionate, non-medical support.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality personal care and support to clients in their own homes
• Assist with daily activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, meal preparation, and medication reminders
• Offer companionship and emotional support to clients
• Cover absences and holiday leave during weekends
• Follow care plans and ensure dignity and well-being
• Travel between client homes within designated postcode areas
• Maintain accurate records and report concerns to the care coordinator

Key requirements

• Previous experience in a care role is preferred but not essential
• Compassionate and patient nature with strong commitment to client care
• Flexibility to respond to last-minute cover needs
• Reliable transport and a valid driving licence (preferred)
• Right to work in the UK
• Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one) – to be sourced by company
