Security Architect

Overview

In this role you design security frameworks and architecture for private cloud deployments, aligning with enterprise standards. You’ll lead assessments, planning and implementation of security controls across client-facing and internal environments. You collaborate with sovereign services and regulatory customers to ensure an integrated, compliant security posture. You’ll shape security roadmaps and influence product strategy, while embedding policies and standards into delivery. This is a high-impact, cross-functional role in a hybrid cloud setting with a focus on regulated industries.

Responsibilities

• Lead requirements gathering, threat modeling, and implementation of data and system security controls
• Coordinate with Security Operations to apply corrective actions
• Identify gaps between current and target security architectures and develop roadmaps
• Supervise security professionals supporting Rackspace services
• Join client calls to discuss security controls, policies, and standards
• Embed security governance into IT service methodologies and SDLC
• Develop and implement security baseline standards for devices and operating systems
• Guide product strategy and roadmaps for security offerings
• Ensure security embedded from outset of system development lifecycle

Key requirements

• Advanced knowledge of Rackspace infrastructure and architecture
• Advanced technical knowledge in multiple IT domains
• Security-focused design, troubleshooting, and implementation expertise
• CISSP is essential
• ISSAP highly preferred
• CISM or GIAC or vendor equivalents (Cisco, Microsoft SC100, etc) preferred
